Neil Soiland is a Los Angeles-based musician currently writing and arranging songs for his upcoming debut album, which is influenced by the magnificently orchestrated masterworks of legends such as Brian Wilson, Curt Boettcher and Gary Usher. As a multimedia artist, Neil is focused on recording, performing live music, directing music videos, and DJing vinyl records at different venues around Southern California.
Although rooted in the glorious pop sensibilities pioneered by the most innovative musicians of the 1960s, Neil’s songs tap into many broad and expansive genres from around the world. His music is multifaceted and eclectic, drawing inspiration from many of the greats while bringing a fresh perspective and an exciting new dynamic.
Growing up in Northern California, Neil developed an obsessive love for music from his earliest years. By the age of 11, he was playing guitar, bass and alto saxophone, with rock, pop, jazz, gospel, show tunes and big band music all contributing to his musical education. He played in various local rock bands until the summer of 2014, when he moved to Echo Park in Los Angeles and connected with Lolipop Records and the circle of musicians that surrounded the label.
He was a founding member of The Creation Factory (2014-2018), released a solo EP in 2020 as Sacred Orange on Hypnotic Bridge Records, and later joined The Premonitions (2020-2022), releasing singles and an LP on Outro Records while touring and playing at prestigious venues throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
Neil’s upcoming album will be preceded by the single, “I Know What You Are,” the first of an exciting set of new songs. He is also recording a new single called “I Wanna Spend My Life With You (The Wedding Song),” a collaboration with original Standells guitarist Tony Valentino.
